I am James Carlucci. I am from the Bronx, New York. I have always loved music, although growing up, we never had any Rock and Roll in the house. I grew up listening to Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, Carlos Montoya, Tony Bennett, Johnny Cash, etc.
My dad played guitar but made his living as an aviator. He got me Passion, Grace, and Fire CD for Christmas, Al Dimeola /John McLaughlin, Paco De Lucia. I got hooked to the amazing guitar compositions.
Soon after, I discovered I was more inclined to rock music. I still have that love for rock music. My music influences are Led Zeppelin, Steve Morse, Soundgarden, Lynyrd Skynyrd, to name a few.
I had the fantastic opportunity to study and play with some of the best. Bobby Koelble/Death, Jeff Berlin/Bass Legend, and most notably Dave LaRue/Steve Morse Band/John Petrucci.
I also briefly played and recorded with Pat Travers. I have taught over 38,000 lessons while at Georges Music Fern Park, Florida, for fourteen years, seven days a week straight. I have also appeared in Guitar Player and Guitar World Magazine.
Thank you for visiting my website, and be sure to check out my music as well.
